I love this Michelle. Isn't the identity of a young child already complex? I wonder if, as educators, we realise the impact of so many different groups of people and media? And if you profiled this child, and compared her with a child from even 10 years ago, what the differences would be.
That is very true…. there would be a multitude of differences. The contemporary child cannot be defined for this very reason. As educators need to be aware of the many differences between children. Bronfenbrenner’s Ecology System Theory shows the many influences that impact on the development, learning, beliefs and shaping of a child.
